Was Karen P at M.A.C. 24/7 a mag?
The restaurant is situated within a hotel, which I didn't realize from the earlier reviews. This made it a little challenging to locate, but it wasn't a problem. We were seated promptly, and our waiter was quite attentive. I ordered the French toast and coffee, while my husband chose the MAC Attack. Both meals were delicious and satisfying. I would definitely come back to explore more items on the menu. View all feedback.
What Tony Joris dislikes about M.A.C. 24/7:
The prime rib was greasy and lacked flavor, and the crab legs were small and not worth the effort in my opinion. The side dishes were just average, so overall, I didn’t find it to be a great value. View all feedback.
Prices are fair, but it is not cheap. It's understandable considering its geolactoon. I must confess it was a bit more affordable than the eateries offered at the resort we were staying at. All in all it was nice.
We placed our order and the food was not served until we complained to the restaurant manager. He did apologize for the poor service and reduced our check by 25% and comped the drinks. When our order arrived, the food was nothing special. Overall, given the number of restaurant choices, we likely would go somewhere else for breakfast in Waikiki.
Overall, we found the food to be quite delightful. My wife opted for the mochi pancakes, which had a unique chewy texture and a distinct flavor that set them apart from traditional pancakes. I went for the breakfast burrito with pork, served with home fries, and it was truly tasty. However, the eggs were a little on the bland side. The reason I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 is partly because of the price; while the quality of the food was good, it felt a bit overpriced for what we got.
The omelets here are truly exceptional, and the potatoes are packed with flavor thanks to the sautéed peppers and onions. The pancakes are enormous, topped with fruit and whipped cream if that's your preference. There's a Mac challenge that costs $35: if you can eat three 14-inch pancakes with fruit and whipped cream within 90 minutes and without any assistance, your meal is free, and you'll also receive a t-shirt and a spot on their wall of fame. Our waitress, Addy, was a delight and worked hard to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Just a heads up – the wait for breakfast can be up to an hour due to limited staffing.
