A visit to Tanaka Teppanyaki in Hawaii provided a mixed experience for diners. My experience was wonderful, we got seated right seat!!! Wonderful staffed. Everyone was super friendly. Would go back when Iâm in town.

Our group of seven had a great time! Both the server and the chef were terrific- we felt bad for the party of two who were on a romantic vacation but they were good sports.

We were crammed onto a table that had no social distancing and was over crowded even by pre Covid standards. We have had tappanyaki meals all of our lives and we were so appalled at the greed of squeezing so many people onto a table this time in flagrant disregard for health protocols and health laws that we left the restaurant without eating. Shame on the Manager for prioritizing the dollar over the safety of patrons.
