This restaurant is located right on the road from our apartment, and we were hesitant to try it for quite a while due to the review below. However, we've been there a few times now, and they are more than willing to make their vegetarian dishes vegan (just removing the crema). Their shells are fantastic and filling, and their tacos are truly outstanding. I hope they expand their vegan options, but it's a great spot f... View all feedback.

My husband and I ordered Burritos and a coke. Overall it was $38.00. $48 with tip. We had plans to have Mexican food, but remained disappointed. Our burritos were filled with rice and little meat. If we want rice potatoes, would we? ve said they should keep the meat. Menu said guacamole, but also no signs of it. Too bad. Your pizza was also the last few times we ordered. What happened to this place? Hot coke, no cups... View all feedback.
You might think that $15 is a lot for a burrito, but it's huge! Super fresh ingredients. Definitely hits the spot when you get a craving for Mexicali. I'm a frequent flyer here.
Ordered takeout last Saturday, it wasn 't super busy. Ordered two tacos, a quesadilla, an elote, pickled veggies and a jarritos. Their point of sale system auto filled in a 20% tip. I didn 't change it as I 'm typically generous on tipping. Paid $46. Got home later and no elote or veggies. Tried to call to get credited and got an automated message that voicemail has not been setup yet . So I emailed and asked for a refund on the missing items and I also asked for the tip back too. It 's been a week and I 've had zero response. I did enjoy the food that I did get and if they would just make me whole and apologize I 'd come back (but I 'd check my order too). I work across the street.
I ordered the carne asada burrito bowl. It was decent, not good, not great. Carne asada shouldn’t feel like you’re chewing on leather. The rice honestly looks and tastes like the boxed Spanish rice you get at the grocery store. Bowl was $14 plus $2 for carne asada, too expensive for the quality.
This place has the communication of a gold fish. They sometimes just close early, without any explanation or change on their site/google hours. They never answer the phone. They don’t update their open days and hours when the change. The food is fine but I’m done trying to eat here, i’ve come 3 times where they just randomly closed mid day ??
Great tacos. Very slow service. Don't think your getting speedy California tacos... we are talking 25-20 min for tacos. You're waiting for them to slaughter the pig.
