Pretzelmaker - Honolulu
Pretzelmaker
Description
At this lively mall eatery, patrons flock for their freshly baked soft pretzels, which shine with versatility and flavor. While many rave about the delightful taste and nostalgic allure of pretzel dogs, some have noted occasional lapses in customer service, particularly during closing hours. Though prices are reasonable, extras like cheese can add to the bill. While the ambiance can be chaotic due to crowds, the quality of the food, especially the variety of dipping sauces, makes it a worthwhile stop for mall-goers. Overall, it promises a treat for pretzel lovers, despite the intermittent service challenges.

8 mini pretzel-dogs are not a bad price. They offer seasonings on the products, though I prefer butter and salt. The shop itself is small and the line is on the sidewalks and crowds come in 6 people sized groups. Normally it's either 0-2 people there in line or 4-8 people at a time. I arrived at the restaurant without realizing they closed at 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, we got there at 7:31 PM, and it seemed like they had already started closing down well before that time. They were already covering things up, and I missed out on free pretzel day. I guess I’ll need to make sure to arrive much earlier next time!
The freshly baked soft pretzel is simply the best! I’m a big fan of Pretzelmaker and always make it a point to grab some when I shop at Kahala Mall. It can easily serve as a meal. I prefer mine plain, while my kids adore the butter splash or cinnamon sprinkle options.
