Fatboy's
Description
Fatboys is a hidden gem in Oahu offering a delightful array of Hawaiian BBQ and generous portions. The garlic chicken stands out as a crowd favorite, drawing acclaim for its crunch and flavor. While the menu boasts delicious options like Teri Ribeye and Kahlua pork, some dishes did not meet expectations, and pricing on beverages was criticized. The garlic chicken was fantastic, but the mixed BBQ plate was disappointing. The mac salad was just average. Overall, it's quite pricey for what you get; I would recommend looking for another place.
The food was delicious, and I opted for takeout. However, the sodas are ridiculously priced at $5; they’re only worth it if you dine in and can get refills. The restaurant is clearly short-staffed, as indicated by the "now hiring" sign. If you visit during peak lunch hours, be prepared to wait about 20 minutes. The one staff member on duty did his best managing both dine-in customers and takeout orders, but it was clearly a struggle for him.
The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. We enjoyed the Teri Ribeye and the catch of the day, both of which were incredibly flavorful and fresh. The staff and the owner were also very friendly and attentive. I would rate this experience 5 out of 5 stars!
This was an amazing find! We definitely didn't know about this place and drove around the area looking for food. There was no line up when we came in and so we were hesitant at the beginning. The service was great and the food... wow!!! The chicken, kahlua pork, and shrimps were really good! ... we had to go back after a few days!!!
