This place is top notch. I work in town often so I get lost in Kakaako on purpose so I can frequent this place! I’ve tried so many of their sandwiches and have never been disappointed. Also, I own a local junk removal business and my guy love stopping here for lunch. I highly recommend!Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about E.a.r.l. Kakaako:
The sad thing is this used to be my go to place for sandwiches. And while the quality and taste have remained constant over the past couple of years, the portion sizes have drastically shrunk. My usual is the Italian without veggies. I used to be able to feel the heft of the sandwich when they handed it over to me. It was so substantial that I would half for lunch and half for dinner. I previously rated this sandwich shop with 5 enthusiastic stars. I hadn't been for a while, and this time I was severely disappointed in the food. They have always been consistent about flavor balance, especially between the bread and the filling. The crunchy, crusty, french bread is gone. Now it's a basic white roll. And there was so much vinaigrette on my Italian sandwich that I couldn't taste the meat. It was soggy. So much for balance. At the price I expect more. Going back to Subway.
Was around the island and came aross this spot because it was the only restaurant open that early and man it was an amazing choice !!! I had the French dip with a local craft beer which hit the spot !! The dip that comes with the sandwich was so good I drank it !!!
More like a 2 star place.... But I'm giving it 3 instead because the French dip was good (I didn't eat the French Dip. We went here because I wanted to try it out. I ended up getting the avocado bahn mi because everything else had meat in it. The avocado bahn mi was a disappointment. The pickled veggies inside the sandwich totally over powered the flavor that I couldn't even taste the avocado inside. The pickled veggie didn't even taste good. We got an order of fries. It was $6 for so little! Inflation I guess. I got the likikoi lemonade and I couldn't even taste the lilikoi. I'm sad. I really wanted to like this place...

My usual is the Italian without veggies. I used to be able to feel the heft of the sandwich when they handed it over to me. It was so substantial that I would half for lunch and half for dinner. Now it's half the size of what it used to be with the same (and possibly even more now) price. $25 (with tax and tip) for this? No more...
