Had a good dinner this evening at Bibas. Curtis was our server tonight. I asked about Gluten Free options and he steered me to the Salmon without the sauce. It was very good. No complaints at all. We came as a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed all of their food, from the burger with a Bibas stamp on it, to the spaghetti and meatballs. All around a very enjoyable evening. Thank you. What Zach Martin doesn't like about Bibas Courtyard Grill:
I thought this place was okay. The service was great and the atmosphere was also good. Who doesn't like to dine outside with a tropical Hawaiian breeze constantly going. The quality of food was very disappointing. the mac nut encrusted red snapper should not be soaked in a salty brine to the point that it is so overwhelmingly salty you cannot trick you palet into thinking you at a lovely hotel restaurant !i could not eat it. Big disappointment! The food standard has definite fallen tremendous. It really saddens me.the woman who waited on me was kind and attentive. She apologize about the food but I told her it was not her fault and please let the cooks know that they need to make some adjustments. You come to taste red snapper, not salt.!
I had the ahi salad and coconut shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were good, but there were only 3 in the order. The salad was simple, boring, and overpriced. The ahi was a terrible cut that had gristle in every bite. Would not recommend and would not return.
I thought this place was okay. The service was great and the atmosphere was also good. Who doesn't like to dine outside with a tropical Hawaiian breeze constantly going. However, the main point I focus on with restaurants is the food and my experience here was subpar. The truffle short rib dish was overly sweet and I was only able to finish it because I came here starving. Otherwise it would have been a very expensive dish to throw half of away. Whatever sweet sauce they have on it somehow managed to ruin the rest of the dish. The sailor's Paradise drink however, was a delight.
Went there for Happy Hour and we ordered almost everything available on the Happy Hour menu except the sliders. They didn't have a lunch or dinner menu you could order from. Food was alright and not necessarily a great price for the appetizer sized dishes. Service was okay.
Won’t go back. We went for happy hour. The food options seemed good. It’s pricey for what you get especially for happy hour. Chicken tenders $11 for 3 tenders that were just the basic food distributor type. Garlic parm fries $10 but large enough to split and good. That was the only good part. My husband got the pork sliders also $11 and only got 2 sad little Hawaiian rolls(the ones we all use) and maybe a tablespoon of pork on each one and a squirt of bbq on each. For $11 bucks and you only got 2 little tiny sliders. Why not 3. The chicken tenders were same price and got 3. The waiter was unfriendly and didn’t greet us just kinda hovered over us waiting for us to order without saying anything. It was strange. I’m not hard to please but this was a joke of happy hour. After tip w a one beer was 45 bucks. No thanks. I’ve been happy w the other options on hale koa. But Bibas needs a revamp. I’m not risking paying their dinner prices for mediocre service and food. Everything else has exceeded expectations but bibas is exactly what I’d expect from on a military affiliate restaurant claiming to be higher end but barely above average.
