Had a great dining experience here, parking is a little tricky around the back but it’s well worth it once you find it. Tried the Omakase menu and was not disappointed. Go with an open mind and leave with a full stomach! Terrific food and courteous service, definitely recommended! View all feedback.
What V V doesn't like about Akira Japanese:
First of all, I was surprised that the amount of rice in the $35 $35!!! Deluxe chirashi sushi was very very very small. On top of thatThe fish was very thin, and it included fish cut in half, and it was the worst chirashi sushi I had ever seen in my life.I was very disappointed.I thought that if you were going to serve such thin fish, you should stop serving it on the lunch menu. The resturant is inside the building, they can validate your parking : Spot shrimp sushi was sweet. Monfish live was processed perfectly, not too fishy at all. Appertizer sampler is also recommeneded. At the bluefin tuna 6 pic sashimi is the best of the night. The beef and uni bowl is just ok, I won't recommened :
I ordered 2 Take-out Nori Bentos. For the low price, I was amazed that it was made-to-order, fresh and packed. I counted 8 items including 2 meats sides veggies. Wow! As my Mom is handicapped, this was a delicious treat for her. Stupid me, forgot to take a picture of it. Take my word. You ono for a delicious affordable bento... this is the place...Akira Restaurant.
Great food! So authentic Japanese that our feels like you're in Japan! The facility is very simple and the personal is very friendly and considerate
Omakase course tonight $100 per person. Different from other Omakase restaurant. This is more like a full course KaiSeki set menu. Great value. Tasted the same as eating in Japan. House Hot Sale only $9.5 for two people!! The Japanese hot tea taste great is free of charge!! We will be back with more friends. Not a big restaurant. Definitely need to make reservation ahead of time
Nice Japanese Restaurant in town on King Street across from the bike shop. Lots of room in 2 big dining areas. The upper level is BYOB and has big windows and lots of light.the portions are fair and the sashimi is fresh. The staff is very nice and friendly. Don't forget, you have to request a glass of water. There are many choices on the menu so we will have to come back soon and try more.
