**Experience at East Close Hotel's Restaurant: A Mixed Bag** Dining at East Close Hotel's restaurant presents a striking dichotomy. While the thoughtfully curated menu offers an impressive array of fresh, flavorful dishes at excellent value, many guests lament a lack of atmosphere, citing empty tables and dated decor that detracts from the overall experience. Service also seems hit-or-miss, with reports of long waits and limited attentiveness. Although some appreciated the complimentary touches like prosecco and the great potential for private events, the inconsistencies in ambiance and hospitality leave diners questioning whether to return. It remains a charming hidden gem, albeit with room for improvement.

The menu was truly impressive. Typically, in a small hotel restaurant, the offerings tend to be heavily fried or roasted, but this menu was thoughtfully crafted by a chef who aimed to cater to a variety of tastes using fresh ingredients. It felt like a breath of fresh air. Additionally, it offered excellent value for money. That night, there were only a few other guests in the hotel, making it a hidden gem for both accommodation and dining.

The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Plus, it's dog-friendly in the area where we were.

I came to the venue, all dressed for my 1st high season to say that the restaurant no longer exists and they had another high time on not happy ruined my evening

The menu was truly impressive. Typically, in a small hotel restaurant during the week, everything tends to be deep-fried. However, this menu was thoughtfully curated by a chef who aimed to provide a diverse selection that caters to all tastes using fresh ingredients. It was a refreshing change. Moreover, it offered excellent value for money. There were only a few other guests at the hotel that evening, making this an exceptional hidden gem for both accommodation and dining.

We had made a reservation for a table for six the day before, but upon arrival, the staff seemed unaware of our reservation and showed little effort to accommodate us. We didn't feel welcomed at all, which was quite disappointing. We were all very saddened and surprised, especially since we had previously enjoyed meals at this restaurant.
