We order... read more I really enjoy Square Cafe. This was my second visit to the restaurant. The first time, I went for lunch and I absolutely loved the tartar on the menu. We ordered the tylloine and scallops, both of which were delicious. We also saved room for dessert, which did not disappoint. I would recommend not bringing a big group (8 people) as the restaurant is small, but it is perfect for a date or a small group of friends.

However, a friend gave us a gift card in exchange for some work, so we decided to use it for our anniversary. It turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant was initially noisy when we arrived, but the noise quickly died down, allowing us to have a conversation without any issues. I usually don't go for filet because it tends to lack flavor, but the one at Square Cafe came with a delicious blue-cheese butter and our waitress recommended it. It turned out to be one of the best tenderloins I've ever had, rivaling some of the best steaks I've ever had. I was genuinely sad when I finished it. My partner had the bolognese, which he said was pretty good. He even tasted my dish and agreed that mine was better. The service was attentive and funny (thanks to our server, Cat). I was surprised when Cat gave me her card at the end of the night – I've never had a server do that before. If I had to pick a favorite server by name, I would definitely choose Cat.

My only minor complaint i... read more I had one of the rare five-star dining experiences at this restaurant. While it's not exactly inexpensive, it was absolutely worth it. My only minor complaint is that I wanted to order my main course, but the waitress took quite a while to come back to me. When I eventually prompted her, she responded with a bit of attitude. On a positive note, the shrimp scampi was the best I've had in years, and the Brussels sprout appetizer was both huge and delicious. Overall, it was a really positive experience!
