The owner goes out to fish every morning, and in the evening, he prepares meals himself. We had a fish of the day, Sarago, with grilled vegetables and a lot of white wine... Small family-run restaurant, the owner is very nice, helpful and kind, but he is also a freediver, so he serves what he caught in the morning at the table. Wide... read more Small family-run restaurant, the owner is very nice, helpful and kind, but he is also a freediver, so he serves what he caught in the morning at the table. Wide choice of dishes: grilled octopus or in salad, grilled prawns or stew with feta, marinated anchovies and finally grilled fish. We stayed in Himare for 4 days and had dinner there for 4 evenings with an average cost of around €20/22 each, including 1 liter of wine. The only downside is that it doesn't have sweets on the menu (but you can get them in the pastry shop next door) and it doesn't make coffee (but you can get it from the nearby bar). It is absolutely recommended to book and perhaps request pre-emption on the catch of the day. If you like fresh and genuine fish in a family environment, this is an UNMISSABLE place! Deliciously fresh seafood specialties. Now in mid-October Fredi is alone, fishing tomorrow, preparing the catch during the day, then managing the service and kitchen in the evening and still being super friendly. We were happy to accept a little waiting time on the first evening and came back to Fredi's in Himare on the second evening. It was emptier and we were still able to have a nice chat with him. Regardless of whether it was grilled fish, octopus salad, shrimp or sardines, everything was super tasty and at a great price! Great guy, stay as you are!

Hi is a fisherman, cook, waiter, artists and very nice person. You can't get better than this. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
