Doghouse Pub - Hay River

Doghouse Pub offers a decent selection of local and national beers. The menu could offer more variety. Customer service is a little slow, but friendly and helpful. The prices are very decent. Opening times are also appropriate. The location is close to the most important hotels in the city. There are many parking spaces nearby.

My mother and I stayed here for lunch before I came to the street, as was otherwise closed for the holidays everywhere. I have never experienced such unprofessionality as we were here. The great lady who served us hardly came to our table, she forgot cutlery, our glasses were empty for 15 minutes and she never checked us quality. The food was at best sub par and the Caesar salad was heavily rusted. We sat on our bill for 10 minutes and we had to get up and find them to pay our bill. When I told her about the salad, she didn't apologize or offer to favor the bill! When I asked her why and she said I didn't tell her so far. I explained she never came to our table and neglected us to check quality so that is not our fault. Quality problems are never the problem of guests and should be resolved with a fight. She refused to do everything and even went so far as argumentation and dismissal. Save your money and go somewhere else.

1 hour 15 minutes waiting for food, had to leave without getting it. And that was on a fairly slow Friday night.

Waited 1:30 for food still didn’t arrive. Very slow. Not impressed for a slow Friday night in hay river
