I've been coming to Daddypop's Diner since I was 5 years old (30+ years), and not much has changed, including the staff...that's a good thing. Best of Philly homefries, hands down. I get the Daddypop's special which is 2 eggs, homefries or grits (just get the homefries WELL DONE for the pro tip), toast, coffee or tea, and juice. I always add a single blueberry pancake, because the pancakes are just too good to pass up, and if the chocolate milk is from Tanner's Market (pro tip #2, always ask if it's from Tanners), I order that as well. Nostalgic for anyone who likes a 50's style diner and a great place to take the kids/grandkids. BRING CASH as they are exclusively a cash-only, and take care of Mary Anne, Danielle, Christin, and Deb. They are all lovely ladies, and fixtures at Daddypop's!!!

I always stop here when I'm in the area. I recommend ordering the bacon cheeseburger with a runny fried egg on top. Bring your ownhot sauce. They don't have hot sauce, but the food and service far outweigh that small inconvenience!

Food is generic breakfast but the pancakes were good. They had cinnamon and nutmeg in them. Otherwise the staff was slow and unable to multitask. Most seemed overwhelmed at the amount of diners even though it's a small diner. Otherdiners can be rude and inconsiderate not only to other diners but the staff as well. Most sit at the bar leaving one spacein-between so parties of two are left waiting hours. If there's a line outside find somewhere else to eat you're not missing outon anything.
