Every time I come to this town, I stay at the The Travelers Rooming House, right next door to Java Jive, and go to the cafe every day! The baked goods are always fresh and yummy. The breakfast sandwiches and sandwiches in general are delicious and BIG. I love the salads especially in this area where good, fresh salads are very rare. The drip coffee is so so not my favorite, but it doesn't warrant one less star because I get espresso drinks instead which are great! The gift shop in the cafe is one of the best. I always leave my work trips with items from the shop to give as gifts or keep for myself like a beautiful pie plate that I use frequently! IMO the best restaurant in Hannibal. My parents took my sister and I to Java Jive during a family vacation over 15 years ago. Their frozen cappuccinos were the best we had ever had. We have often talked about returning there and so today decided to do so. The coffee did notdisappoint!

Java Jive is my family's go to place for breakfast, lunch, baked goods, lattes and more. Great selection of offbeat greeting cards, books, puzzles and gifts. It seems that they feature different baked goods each day. And they make bigsugar cookies featuring monthly themes like Pride month 4th of July. The kids always are jazzed when I bring some home as asurprise. And they started taking selfies with the cookies (some posted here) Employees are helpful, pleasant and some evenremember my name. The selection of food, the ambience the seating areas are very creative, welcoming and offer a safe haven tosit with friends, family or enjoy some alone time. Highly recommended!
