A well-known restaurant that is quite good. It’s sad to see you closed, but I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
We had a reservation for 7:30 on a special night this past Friday during the busy Christmas parade weekend. Our server was exceptionally attentive and provided excellent service throughout our meal. To start, we shared the champagne mussels, which were sweet and the broth was absolutely delicious. For our main courses, I ordered the 7oz filet cooked medium rare; it was prepared perfectly and tasted just as good as it looked, accompanied by criminology mushrooms and broccolini. My fiancé opted for the pineapple glazed salmon, which was slightly overcooked and drier than we had hoped. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine that was reasonably priced. For dessert, we tried two options: the apple spice crème brûlée and the peach cobbler. Both were amazing, and we devoured every last bite. Overall, we both felt that our experience was positive, making our special night truly memorable.
I had a reservation for Friday night and arrived at 6:30 PM to find the restaurant was not very busy. I understand that many places in the area are struggling with staffing issues. We began our visit with a glass of wine and a drink, which was notably larger than what you typically find in town. We ordered the clam chowder, which was packed with clams but a bit on the salty side. We both opted for the burgers, which were decent but didn't quite meet our expectations in terms of flavor, especially given the facility and price. However, the truffle fries were outstanding! The service was very attentive and friendly, but it was a bit strange that there was no background music, making the atmosphere unusually quiet.
We dined at Rudi's this evening, our server, Natasha was lovely. We loved the ambiance. Cocktails were good. We did have an order or truffles fries to start which were delicious however our meals were very bland . We both ordered the statler chicken and it was lacking salt and flavor. We actually had to ask for a salt shaker! Our creme brûlée was soupy, not a great food experience :
Quaint restaurant. Service was excellent. Highly recommend eating there. The food was exceptionally good! I had the Salmon Belly bites with sweet potato strips drizzled with honey. My husband enjoyed his calamari. For our meals I had Salmon with mashed potatoes, snap peas with edible flowers. Husband had linguine with clams, lobster and shrimp. For dessert he had cream brulee topped with a crisp and blueberries and strawberries. We drove from Connecticut. Our compliments to Executive chef Logan and Sous chef Davin. We will definitely make the trip back up here. You will thoroughly enjoy your meal. We will make the trip up again real soon.
