Established in 1970 by the late Mike and Kay Tinios, the Galley Hatch has been a seacoast favorite restaurant for 50 years. The extensive menu showcases traditional American cuisine with a focus on New England seasonal ingredients, serving lunch and dinner daily. The restaurant features three dining rooms and a tap room, offering seating for over 400 guests. While standouts like the warm feta dip and prime rib shine, some diners found certain entrees—like the lobster and haddock sandwich—falling short of expectations. The service is quite slow, even when the restaurant is nearly empty. However, the food is quite tasty.
Once again, we visited on a Friday afternoon, slightly later than usual. The restaurant was quite busy, but the bartenders were incredibly friendly. The food was delicious, and the butternut squash was a standout. It's hard not to feel good here. Today, I had the prime rib, and it was excellent!
We had an excellent dinner and a great experience! Our waitress was top of the line! Cocktails were great and great cupcakes for dessert
Fast, courteous, and delicious! I love this place and will go again!
