It was fantastic! Sever was friendly, food was so good! My partner was drooling over his squid and my mussels were plump and juicy. We had steak and it melted in our mouths. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to anyone. View all feedback.
What Andrea C doesn't like about Conquistador:
We are never going back to this place, it is a disgrace to Portuguese Food. The Seafood Plater was disgusting, the Rice was under cooked and the Seafood was over cooked and the Salad came with a fly No greeting at the Door just some yelling behind a curtain. View all feedback.
Having purchased a Wagjag for this restaurant we met up with friends for an evening out. For appetizers we ordered the calamari...which was a huge plate full and very good..being lightly breaded and perfectly cooked. For mains I chose the steak and my husband ordered fish . My steak was a generous size strip loin , cooked as ordered and served with home fried potatoes. I enjoyed it and ended up taking some home. However my husband did not enjoy his fish ...it was too salty and not really enjoyable. This was accompanied by boiled potatoes ...ugh ! These are only good when you get nice little new potatoes. He did not eat them either. His meal looked pretty bland I must say. Included with our meal was a glass of house wine which we did both enjoy. If I returned it would be to enjoy the calamari . Our server was very friendly and eager to please .
Went for a valentine's dinner with another couple. This restaurant was suggested by a friend. Order rotisserie chicken and was told I had the last one. Bland and borderline line dry. My friend ordered chicken breast which looked previously frozen and was very bland. My wife has appetizer shrimp and a Greek salad that had dressing from a bottle. Overpriced for what you get. Upon leaving, I noticed in the dessert chest tiramisu that the sell at Costco ! First and last time. Swiss chalet has better chicken. I know it's reared more to a seafood place but $26 for app sized shrimp and a salad is a bit much.
This family owned and operated restaurant has great traditional Portuguese food. Service is friendly and efficient. A great place for a family or couples evening.
Reservations were made prior to our group visit of 9 people. This was my first visit to this Portuguese restaurant which was highly recommended. My wife and I ordered the grilled chicken breasts with delicious potatoes and vegetables. The plates were abundant and the food superb. The remainder of the group ordered a large seafood platter which all enjoyed. The staff is family oriented here and friendly. Parking is available on the street or behind the restaurant. This establishment has a wide selection of wines and a fair selection of bottled beers. We will be back,
My wife and I enjoyed a great meal at Conquistador. We started with the soup of the day which was a delicious chicken noodle (small round Portuguese noodles) soup. I had the Grilled Chicken which came with perfectly grilled vegetable and potatoes. My wife hadthe Filet Of Fish with rice and salad. The orders were huge and to our surprise when we got the tab we were told that Wed/Thurs are 15% off ! I would definately recommend Conquistador !
