The food received varied feedback, with some enjoying the burgers, wings, and onion rings, while others found the dishes lackluster. After arriving in the home we rented in Sambro, we found the local take out place closed on Mons and the restaurant in the next town closed for a couple weeks, we headed into Halifax. Hoping to not have to go right downtown Halifax we happened to pass Station Six in Spryfield. We turned around and went in. The place is small but has a cool vibe to it. It's named after the station 6 firewall located next door. They have a small selection of local craft beers which was nice. We had the fish tacos, chicken club, donair dip and Mac and cheese. All were very good. I had the buttermilk onion rings with the tacos and they were excellent. The fries were fresh cut and had a house seasoning on them which added a nice flavour without being overpowering. Prices for drinks was definitely on the high side though. Overall we enjoyed our experience, and we're glad to stumble upon Station 6. Would recommend
I Love Our very own SpryField Bar and Restaurant. It's a Great Asset to the Community. Large Area lots of Tables booths and High tables with chairs a patio outside. Very clean restaurant. Went for a birthday supper, food was really good, staff were friendly. Food took a little longer to come to the table, but was really good.
Had lunch here ,food ok ,not super great ,service pretty good but we were there early for lunch so basically empty at that time.Tweny bucks for a buger with sweet potato fries is kinda steep and 9 bucks for a local cottage beer draft is just plain nuts. Two burgers ,three local beer was over 75 bucks. The payment machine is one of those that start at 15% tip so I paid 11 bucks for a tip,boy did I waste my time going to university.Concrete floors and steel chairs so the decorating didnt cost much. Many places that serve an equally good lunch for a lot less. Pretty pricey for a casual lunch.
What a great spot! So happy to see this establishment in Spryfield. The menu has some great options we had the Citrus Tequila Chicken and the Maple Glazed Salmon (with an Aisan twist)..... both presentation and quality were outstanding. They have taken great care when designing the interior. I can see this place doing double or triple duty.... through the day a fantastic family spot for lunch and dinner, in the evening a public meeting place for a few beverages (don't know if they are licensed for this or not) and a great spot to gather with friends to check out the game (they have lots of TV's) We will certainly be back and wish them much success. If you are a local try this place out.... looking forward to lunch on the patio when things warm up!
