Was Anonym at Ray's Lebanese Cuisine a mag?
The food is flavourful, the atmosphere is bright and colourful and the sitting area is large. I have been recommending this place to friends. My last visit there was 1 month ago and their prices went up.1 grape leaf is now $1.50 up by .50 cents. You can get the same grape leaves for $1 at Mezza. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Ray's Lebanese Cuisine:
I had the grilled fish plate and my wife had a chicken kabob plate. The primary problem was that most of the food was already prepared and thus the potatoes were not hot. The chicken was already prepared and dry. The fish was freshly prepared and was some what better. Most of the clientele seemed to be carrying the food out, presumably to be reheated at home. Not bad but could be better. View all feedback.

Very good Lebanese food with lots of flavour. Good service and portions made for a great overall visit

My husband and I stopped by for lunch at Ray's at 11:30am on a Tuesday. We beat the crowd! We each had a Chicken Shawarma plate. The serving was generous, and had a great variety of sides. This is the best we have had in the city. We have tried various spots over the years, and it was my youngest son who told me I had to try Ray's. Ray served us, and was happy to help us. He has a great sense of humour. The place was spotless, which I appreciate. There are many tables to sit and dine in....cafeteria style. Ray's offers take-out as well as catering. We ate lunch here, but ordered again for lunches the next day!!

I recently tried Ray's for lunch in Halifax, NS. I went with the sharwama platter and I am so glad I did. I got rice with noodles, potatoes with garlic sauce, coleslaw, veg, chicken, cabbage and pita bread with hummus. All for $8.95. It was so good! So much food you want to clean your plate but I couldn't get through it all. They will happily give ÿou take out boxes. It is a "lunch line" setting. They ask what you want on the plate. I loved the rice. Not a lentil fan so you have an option. You can choose you salad and they all look very fresh. The cabbage is sautéed and tastes amazing. I highly recommend. I'm not even a cabbage fan! My only complaint is that I wanted my chicken to be hotter but still tastes great!!!

We had been fans of Ray's Lebanese food since his first location in scotia square and then also in burnside but then the Susie lake location opened and OMG is all I can say. The food is simply the best we have ever eaten. Over the past 4 months it has become our regular haunt. We go every Friday. The falafel plate and the chicken shawarma plate are unbelievably delicious. We have not varied our order, we get the same thing every time. It is consistent, tasty and the restaurant is clean, the owner is so friendly and all of the staff are polite and friendly. We love it there. Two thumbs up!

Ray's Lebanese in Halifax offers flavorful food in a bright and colorful atmosphere with a large seating area. While prices have risen slightly, the servings are generous and the variety of sides impressive. The cafeteria-style setting allows for quick service, with the option for take-out or catering. The grilled fish plate and chicken kabob plate aren't consistently hot due to pre-preparation, as seen by many patrons carrying food out. Despite some minor drawbacks, the overall experience at Ray's is positive, with standout dishes like falafel and chicken shawarma keeping customers coming back repeatedly for great value and friendly service.

I would gladly have every meal here! We visit every week, and the falafels and chicken shawarma are absolutely incredible! This week, I decided to try the haddock, and it turned out to be the best fish shawarma plate I've ever had. I can't wait to return—it's officially my new favorite meal. I give it five stars and two big thumbs up! Hady, Timmy, Brittany, and the whole team, you are all amazing!

I have been to every Lebanese restaurant in the city and tried the shawarma plate at each. Nothing beats Ray's, I go there at least once a week for the great food, amazing quality, freshness, and value for money. As well as the friendly customer experience. The restaurant is also always absolutely spotless and clean. You get a great portion of food for the price in their plates. Plus having the best falafel in the city for $1 a piece isn't a bad deal either. Ray's is also very accommodating for Gluten-free sensitivities. I'm so glad this place exists. If you're looking for somewhere to grab lunch or dinner and you're hungry, go to Ray's!

The food here is incredible! We hosted a party for about 60 people, and everyone raved about the food. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were just right. Additionally, the owner is incredibly friendly; it's clear that he puts a lot of love into his cooking. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I absolutely love the food and have been a regular customer for quite some time, but what really stands out is the staff! Recently, I forgot my wallet, and they went above and beyond by tracking me down on Facebook to let me know. I had it back in my hands in just a few minutes. Thank you, Hady! Not many people would go the extra mile like that.

Absolutely delicious. Service is awesome and you can get garlic sauce to go! We make a point of eating here each time we come to the city. Your friends from Yarmouth PS They even provide mouthwash I the rest rooms!

The restaurant is clean, offers generous portions, and has reasonable prices. However, it could improve its authenticity in Lebanese cuisine. For example, toasting the shawarma sandwich, using proper tahini, and rethinking the sandwich ingredients would enhance the experience. Additionally, serving pomegranate sauce with the fattoush alongside crispy bread would be a nice touch. Overall, there's potential for improvement in the details.

The food was really excellent, but I was surprised to find out that we had to order at the front kiosk, watch it being prepared, and pay before eating. It’s advertised more as a sit-down restaurant, but it felt more like a “make-your-own-dish” place, similar to Chipotle. Aside from that, it was fantastic!

For vegetarians: There are plenty of options available, including a variety of salads, rice, potatoes, and falafel!

Honestly my first time trying this today. I ordered through Uber eats the Falafel plate. Very dry, and bland. Possibly the worst Tobouli I’ve ever had. Didn’t even eat half pretty disappointing.

So you've overexerted yourself doing something, it's 35 degrees with the humidex and you are hungry, really hungry. But grease while deserved, is not going to sit right. You go to Ray's and get yourself a chicken shawarma wrap. Which is what I did, with a cold can of rootbeer. First off unlike other places, no meat being measured here. I actually teared up a bit watching them pile meat on that pita. It was the most satisfying and tasty experience of my month. I'm pretty sure I've now changed my brain on a neuro-plasticity level that every time I work out, I will desire a chicken shawarma wrap, just like Pavlog's dog.I also got a side of tabouli and pickled turnip which was delightful and refreshing.Highly recommend, I will be back.... I have no choice....

The food here is absolutely delicious! I usually order either the falafel wrap or the plate. The plate comes with tasty falafel, rice, lentils, grilled veggies, potatoes, a choice of salad, tahini, and pita. It's so satisfying that I often have enough left over for lunch the next day. They also serve delicious grape leaves - yum!
