The serving was generous, and h... read more My husband and I stopped by for lunch at Ray's at 11:30am on a Tuesday. We beat the crowd! We each had a Chicken Shawarma plate. The serving was generous, and had a great variety of sides. This is the best we have had in the city. We have tried various spots over the years, and it was my youngest son who told me I had to try Ray's. Ray served us, and was happy to help us. He has a great sense of humour. The place was spotless, which I appreciate. There are many tables to sit and dine in....cafeteria style. Ray's offers take-out as well as catering. We ate lunch here, but ordered again for lunches the next day!!

I got rice with noodles, potatoes with garlic sauce, coleslaw, veg, chicken, cabbage and pita bread with hummus. All for $8.95. It was so good! So much food you want to clean your plate but I couldn't get through it all. They will happily give ÿou take out boxes. It is a "lunch line" setting. They ask what you want on the plate. I loved the rice. Not a lentil fan so you have an option. You can choose you salad and they all look very fresh. The cabbage is sautéed and tastes amazing. I highly recommend. I'm not even a cabbage fan! My only complaint is that I wanted my chicken to be hotter but still tastes great!!!
