What Jake Lang dislikes about Phil's Seafood Ltd:
My wife and I were directed to this restaurant by our hotel desk clerk because it was close to the hotel and because it was the best seafood in the area. I had the fish and chips and my wife had a BLT. My chips...More View all feedback.
Very disappointingThe food was terrible, service rudeWe ate at many wonderful places in Paris, but this was the low point.
Bistrot Mazarin is a typical French bistro - they are quite plentiful - but that doesn't take away from the experience.
AH Paris, it is easy to have a high expectation, but order some thing simple, well know like a Ceasar Salad and only truley exceptional resturants will
When trying to stand out as a sefood resturant located, when you're located in city on the Atlantic coast, you have to be extremely special. It's hard to go above and beyond you comparators, but ol' Phil seems to have found a way. Im not sure how they make their batter, but I would say it is the best I've had. They seem to use the perfect amount of batter to compliment there always fresh haddock and it's cooked perfect every time. There mussels are also great with a rich sauce that really suits everything else I seem to e eating, and must be the cheapest proce for a pound in the city. There fries are hit or miss o find, often not chrispy enough on the outside for my liking. But all in all Phil's fish and chips are a must try for any haddock lovers in Halifax. With a non-alcoholic drink, tax and tip you're looking at under 15$
