I’ve also dined here in September 2021 and 2022, always enjoying the cozy patio, a variety of creative dishes, and great conversations with the staff. This time, I sat at the bar and was once again blown away—the food, ambiance, and especially the team were exceptional. It’s clear the staff love working here, and that energy shines through in every interaction. Even though it’s a seven-hour drive from Bar Harbor, Maine, I always make it a point to come back—and I absolutely will again on my next trip in late September. Bar Kismet is hands down my favorite restaurant in Atlantic Canada, and I can’t recommend it enough! Price per person: $80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

No mention that... read more We heard about this place a year ago and came to Halifax last week with the plan of eating here. We checked the website a few times and Google. No mention that they decided to close for the long weekend. We decided our food, trekked over here in the rain... and saw a sign posted on the door saying closed. We leave Halifax tomorrow. The cocktails were complex, but easy to approach. I absolutely recommend, not to be missed in Halifax.
