Server gladly offered to plate separately the meals our daughters were sharing. Downside was that the unconventional seating of varying heights and the teeny tiny tables did not lend themselves well to a dinner scenario, but rather a bar scene when you'd only have a drink and maybe an app on your table.

We decided to have dinner at the Fireside one evening...it was a Friday and there were a good number of tables occupied but it seemed to me that most were drink... read more We decided to have dinner at the Fireside one evening...it was a Friday and there were a good number of tables occupied but it seemed to me that most were drinking and perhaps nibbling but not big meals. My husband and I seated ourselves and the waiter came over after a few minutes. We ordered a carafe of wine and shortly thereafter we ordered 2 Baked Haddock dinners. When the food arrived I was disappointed....the Haddock was definitely over cooked. The waiter came to check on us and I did mention this and he surprised me by saying the chef had known it was overcooked and offered to pay for our wine. It is fine to pay for the wine; however, our meals should have been replaced or reduced in price if we had decided to keep them. Next time chef.......don't let your food leave your kitchen sub-prime!! We will not be back. Our server Brennan was very pleasant and he did the best he could!!
