She then asked about the Steak sandwich a... read more We were the one of few patrons on a Friday evening. My wife asked for iced tea, they came back and said they were out. She then asked about the Steak sandwich and was told they didn't actually make it like the menu described it. So she asked about the chicken sandwich. That one wasn't actually made the way it was described either. She settled for her third choice -- the raspberry chicken with brie. That, and my jerk chicken, turned out to be fantastic. My onion soup was only so-so. All in all, a very odd but satisfying meal.

Downside was that the unconventional seating of varying heights and the teeny tiny tables did not lend themselves well to a dinner scenario, but rather a bar scene when you'd only have a drink and maybe an app on your table.

We decided to have dinner at the Fireside one evening...it was a Friday and there were a good number of tables occupied but it seemed to me that most were drink... read more We decided to have dinner at the Fireside one evening...it was a Friday and there were a good number of tables occupied but it seemed to me that most were drinking and perhaps nibbling but not big meals. My husband and I seated ourselves and the waiter came over after a few minutes. We ordered a carafe of wine and shortly thereafter we ordered 2 Baked Haddock dinners. When the food arrived I was disappointed....the Haddock was definitely over cooked. The waiter came to check on us and I did mention this and he surprised me by saying the chef had known it was overcooked and offered to pay for our wine. It is fine to pay for the wine; however, our meals should have been replaced or reduced in price if we had decided to keep them. Next time chef.......don't let your food leave your kitchen sub-prime!! We will not be back. Our server Brennan was very pleasant and he did the best he could!!
