Last night was my first time at Testi, the food was delicious but what really stood out for my partner and I was the genuine, lovely service. All staff were really nice. Something that sadly stands it apart now in a culture of glaring lack of customer care and poor attitudes. So thank you everyone for your beautiful warmth and friendliness. It was very much appreciated in such a hostile city and restored our faith
On Sat 12th July, was my 2nd visit, for a freinds birthday 1st was on new years eve and both times was a complete sham! The food standard was way below par. No bread, salad or dips or given to start, most other places give this as standard, while you wait. Bread came with the was burnt, no decent salad, slices of thick carrots on the edge of a sad looking salad, on a small plate. We ordered a £60 platter, meant four people, it came with just wings, ribs, one each skewer of chicken lamb shish. The lamb shish cubes were tiny. This place cuts corners everywhere. I ordered a seabass, it came with a sprinkling of wilted lettuce, I called the waitress over, to draw her attention to this, I asked if this is meant to be the salad,,she replied yes , then said she 'd call someone. We had the same experience on new years eve. We were also rushed, as food took ages to arrive as well. I felt sorry for the male waiter with the glasses. He tried his best after taking over from the lady, because we raised so many issues. Will certainly not be going here again, there are loads of other Qualuty Turkish restaurants just down the road, where you 'll get your monies worth on the platter, as it will also include, chicken lamb doner, köfte and two types of rice. Only those who are inexperienced with Turkish dining would find this place amazing. There 's much better place down the road. I hope the admin from Testi do not attempt a response, because when we asked for the manager that night, they refused to come and put the poor chap instead.
A very unique Turkish experience in that the bread that comes as standard with mains is flavoured as opposed to plain. The only other Turkish place that does it has sadly gone out of business so this is the only remaining restaurant that has this incredible bread. The side salads that comes with mains are also very unique. Quite a special and extraordinary place. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. On top of it all, great atmosphere.
Had such a lovely lunch at this place just now. The service was relaxed but attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. Warm bread served is divine, hot meze was great and the grilled meats moist but with a nice charr. The salads bought with the meal were fresh, lovely seasonings and the grilled Onion with sweet tangy dressing the absolute star of the show. This is a low key diamond. Turkish tea is on point as ever
Despite some negative experiences, the overall consensus from reviews is mixed. Some found the restaurant to be hugely overrated, with poor service and quality of food, while others praised it for its delicious Turkish cuisine and exceptional hospitality. Highlights include the mixed grill platter, warm bread, and fresh salads. The accommodating staff, especially for large parties, and the relaxed yet attentive service were also appreciated. However, issues with food quality, service speed, and cleanliness are apparent. Ultimately, the reviews vary from highly negative to extremely positive, making it a restaurant worth trying with caution.

Very nice Turkish restaurant. we went with friends there and it was a nice evening. the open grill is impressive and offers a really delicious kitchen.
I enjoyed my meal here very much. I had the chicken beyti, another chicken dish (can be the iskender kebab and musaka). the chicken beyti were pieces.
I really enjoyed eating here. excellent eating. not the easiest place to come, but I met friends so I don't really care. even if you are.
We have tried some of the Turkish restaurants in stoke newington and dalston, and we are always coming to testi. the meat is excellent and the brot that is served together is simply fantastic. it is grilled over the hot bbq coals and is dipped with the taste of grilled meat. the portions are generous, and the salads that come with their net are as exciting as the main thing itself. the service is always brilliant. these youngs always teach us, no matter how busy they are, even if we show up without booking. the service can sometimes be quite moderate, but its never done with overweight or restless. these youngs run a tight ship, and its very lively and lively restaurant in...more

I have been coming here for over 12 years and love the remodel. I have never, EVER had a bad meal. They are all very lovely people who give great service. I bring every person here who comes to visit me from out of town as it something different and they are all instantly in love with the delicious Turkish food that is not done better anywhere else. The salads they serve with the meat are amazing and fresh and we drool over what we call the meat bread haha. It 's grilled bread that is the out of this world. We love you Testi!
Open kitchen restaurant one server was chopping onions and I swear the level of the noice plus the onions smell was horrible my eyes turn red and I left the place with a headache 1.5 hr of torture

Lovely as always, came to celebrate my twins birthday, food was nice as well as the staff. They did forget to bring my chips with my main food and when we got them we were already full so wasted money there but nonetheless it was a good evening with lovely and polite staff, great food and lovely cocktails. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
