There is no lack of choice for decent Vietnamese food along this stripe of kingsland road, as everyone knows. they all tried and that is my favorite for pho. th... read more There is no lack of choice for decent Vietnamese food along this stripe of kingsland road, as everyone knows. they all tried and that is my favorite for pho. the broth is rich and full of umami and the noodles have a great resistance. Yesterday I tried to pack the bark in betal leaves with rice paper and salat. also recommend! it is not a nice place and always packed, so do not go there for the service. if they want good food at a reasonable price with byob, then don't look further! miso satisfied!

I was also far from sober myself, and was also not a close, but that is the norm at such a place. It would be difficult to separate this place from its lively atmosphere, so it is not for the weak hearts. but despite the Friday evening, the high street distributor, eating is decent and the personal goes over their business with admirable tolerance. worth was also not bad, especially with the BYO policy. you must note whether the above mentioned sounds like their typical weekend activity!

The steamed rice rolls had tiny shrimps rather than prawns, the deep fried fish was bland and expensive for what it was. The Singapore noodles were just horrible. There are much better eating options nearby.

Th... read more It is sad that i feel compelled to write a bad review. I've been eating at this restaurant since 2008 but recently on two separate visits i was dissapointed. The food is generally great but the service was appalling. First visit was lunch, had to ask three times for the tea i ordered. The waitress, seems like family, was yoo busy on her phone. This was lunch and the place eas not busy. She just sat behind bar ingoring us. 2nd visit, also lunch, very quiet, sat at a tablen same ignoring waitress. Suddenly she stepped out of the restaurant with a family friend with a small child. We waited and waited. Finally some staff came out of kitchen. I signalled i was ready to order. Waited Waited Ignore Ignore Finally we got up and left after 15 minutes waiting for waitress to return. This same waitress served me before at their 2nd location across street. Frankly if she was not family ahe should be fired. Plenty of good Viet restaurants on Kingsland road. Not returning

The s... read more Not sure how people are giving this place a bad review. You get amazing, authentic and delicious food here. It's BYOB (cossie livs) and is so well priced. The staff are warm and friendly it's can get busy so can understand if they're not the most present. But the food more than makes up for it. Fancy fine dining it's not, but endless tasty dishes it is!

The staff were... read more This was my worst eating experience in London. The food was tasteless, drowned in a mysterious brown jelly like sauce, rice noodles were sticky. The staff were rude, we weren't told they would only accept cash payments on arrival and they didn't apologise about it when presenting the bill. They told us to go to the ATM machine and leave our belongings there, so as to make sure we'd be back. No receipt. Horrible experience through no fault of our own. We could not be paid to go back.

However, the service we experienced was truly disappointing. One waitress in particular, who seems to have been there for a while, was consistently rude and appeared to have a negative attitude. It is unfortunate that someone in a customer service role would conduct themselves in such a manner. Hopefully, she does not rely on tips as her primary source of income. It is disheartening to encounter such negativity in what should be a pleasant dining experience.

I was also fortunate to have cash when they pointed out that they do not take card. If you are hungry and on your way home during the late hours, they stay open quite late in the evening. Just ensure that you have cash and check the temperature of your food before you leave. Nothing worst than sitting down to cold meal on a cold night when you have had a long day.

The Vietnamese iced coffee was very nice but the food itself was nothing special. At the end of the meal we were handed an ineligible hand-written bill.
