This is a fantastic small bar located just off a lively street, offering a unique combination of cocktails and crepes. The banoffee crepe was absolutely delicious, filled with crunchy biscuit pieces, whipped cream, and caramel sauce. I felt a mix of contentment and longing after finishing it. Although I didn't get a chance to try the savory crepe options, I know that the black truffle option will be my choice when I... View all feedback.
What thatchickandguy dislikes about Shutterbug:
Located in a small corner of Shoreditch, this restaurant has a lovely garden with a mural wall that is perfect for Instagram photos. We visited for a family Sunday brunch and enjoyed pancakes, crepes, and salads, all of good quality but a bit expensive compared to other brunch spots we have tried. The restaurant seems to excel more as a bar and nightclub, with food being a secondary focus. The cocktail menu and drink... View all feedback.

I took my daughter to this restaurant for her 13th birthday on Saturday, April 25th at 6:30. I had heard that it was a top creperie, so we made a reservation and traveled from Billy Elliott in Victoria to Shoreditch excited for some delicious crepes. However, we were disappointed to find that the crepe menu was very limited. The savoury crepes were crispy as if they were fried, and the sweet crepes were cold. The fillings were poorly executed and the crepes were not folded properly. We decided to dine here because we couldn't make a reservation at the Kensington creperie, which I have heard is very good. On a positive note, we had a friendly waiter/barman who made the children happy. It seems like a good spot for drinks later in the evening.
I was craving crepes, so I decided to head out to this restaurant. The ambiance was nice and the staff were friendly, although not very attentive. However, the crepes were delicious and affordable. I would definitely return for more.
My brother and I went to this restaurant for a belated birthday lunch for him. Both being French, we were looking for a bit of nostalgia and this place was perfect for us! The atmosphere was very nice and relaxed, just what we were hoping for. The lunch menu was simple but had enough options to satisfy us. Although the drink selection seemed limited, they had no problem accommodating my request for something not on the menu. The waiter, Andreas, was the standout of our experience - he was very energetic, friendly, and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!
So the pancakes weren't bad, that's about the only good point I have to say. I was expecting it to be busy, but they just seemed woefully underprepared/staffed. We were seated outside in a yard in a marquee with no heating, not great in this weather, with drafts coming in the gaps. We also had the delight of listening to people working with power tools whilst we ate there. Seemed like they only had one person actually making the pancakes, which doesn't seem like the best idea given the fact they were fully booked inside and out. When my first lot of pancakes hadn't arrived I asked one of the staff if it was coming. On way back from speaking to the chef he stopped to take new orders instead and didn't come back so I had to go up again and ask. This took about 40 minutes or so. I felt sorry for the table of 16 or so people behind us who were still waiting when I had left and had arrived not too long after I did. Not sure what service and food are like normally, but on this occasion they were clearly underprepared and taking on more bookings than they could handle since it was pancake day and not giving anyone any warning of how long things were likely to be.
Nestled in a cozy corner of Shoreditch, this restaurant boasts a charming garden ideal for picturesque moments. While patrons rave about the vibrant atmosphere and friendly service, opinions on the food are mixed. The menu features intriguing crepes and pancakes, but some find the offerings limited and prices steep. The restaurant shines as a bar and nightclub, showcasing an impressive cocktail selection which enhances the overall experience. Despite minor service hiccups, many appreciate the inviting environment and lively music, making it a great spot for brunch or post-work drinks, though some may seek better value dining options nearby.

We visited for a family Sunday brunch and enjoyed pancakes, crepes, and salads, all of good quality but a bit expensive compared to other brunch spots we have tried. The restaurant seems to excel more as a bar and nightclub, with food being a secondary focus. The cocktail menu and drink selection were impressive, and the service was friendly. While it's worth a visit, there may be better value options in the area. We recommend stopping by if you're in the area, but it's not worth going out of your way for.
I have never felt so well taken care of in a restaurant before. As I looked around, I could see that everyone else felt the same way. The atmosphere was amazing, with the staff bringing the party to life and making you feel like a part of it. The Jerk Chicken was incredible, and the bar was run by skilled professionals. The music was fantastic - for such a small venue, they really delivered big on the music. This restaurant has a lot of heart and soul.
I went to Shutterbug with some coworkers for drinks after work. We sat in the back yard, enjoyed some delicious cocktails, and listened to great music. I highly recommend this place!

I approached the staff who were very willing to ensure my night was unforgettable! Their cocktails are mesmerizing! Mama's cooking was awesome and to top it all up the atmosphere was incredible and buzzing! Thanks Tye the team!

Small small place hidden on rivington road, they serve excellent coffee, sandwiches. but they are specialized in krepps. Unfortunately, I didn't try their crepes, but their sandwich and omelette, both were good. I ordered a smoked salmon, avocado, egg on roggenbrot and an omelette with salat and sourdough bread with extra smoked salmon inside. <= <= < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < < <
Shutterbug Bar and Creperie in Shoreditch offers a fantastic selection of traditional and innovative French pancakes. I decided to try the pulled pork with cheese and pickles, which was incredibly delicious. The menu had a variety of tempting options, and I would have been happy to try many of them. What will you choose?
