not unusual, but good, excellent fast breakfast for me. two bacon egg caabatta and freshly pressed oj £5.80 very convenient, one minute away from the railway station, timeliness to read and great 1960s music. an unexpected surprise. View all feedback.

The food here is alright, but not brilliant, usually accompanied by soggy white toast. The staff is quite incompetent. In my honest opinion, standing in a queue next to annoyed looking strangers on the weekend is not worth it. The booths inside are also uncomfortable. There are other, better cafes nearby, which you could probably choose over this one. View all feedback.

We were looking for a place for a late lunch and stumbled upon the Mess. Once inside, we were warmly greeted, seated at a table, and presented with a diverse menu. What stood out was the availability of breakfast items all day, a unique offering compared to other restaurants. While they had several breakfast recommendations, the menu also had plenty of other options. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious. I especially enjoyed the lean bacon and flavorful black pudding.
The food was absolutely fantastic. The staff were lovely and the cafe was clean and well decorated. I couldn't find fault with anything and would highly recommend.
The staff at this restaurant are amazing and go above and beyond. They offer a diverse menu that caters to vegetarians, vegans, those with dietary intolerances, halal restrictions, and allergies. Our group of seven had a variety of dishes for brunch and every single one was outstanding!
Great food! Food everyone can eat, vegan, vegetarian, options for dairy and gluten allergies. Nice staff, serviceminded!
Amazing little place in Hackney which serves all days breakfadt and brunch. We both had something different. I had the scrambled egg veggie option and it was lovely. They have a non veggie and a Halal option for the menu too. Really recommend this place. The price for a veggie breakfast included coffee just for 11.00.

I am a very critical person when it comes to experiencing restaurants. This greasy spoon is a very depressing experience (or at least for me it was) mostly because you will find cheaper greasy spoon options in the neighbourhood. In my opinion, this place is not worth waiting for in the queue which always exists whenever you go here.
This place has a pretty nice reputation and is generally consistent in its standards.The staff here is lovely but the crowd not to amazing. The food here is also incredibly priced and tastes just fine. I would recommend ordering a sophisticated breakfast of poached eggs. The only i have hesitated to avoid four stars is the disgusting fact that a piece of hair was found in my companion's eggs!
This has become my go to cafe whenever i find myself in London, and it will continue to be so, This cafe maintains and sustains its really high quality by serving some premium food. Take it from me the taste is simple delicious. I definitely suggest you try the salmon and scrambled eggs which are unbeatable and super tasty. GO ,GO ,GO!
This place is a 'must see ' restaurant and may be that 's why sums up to be such a crowd puller. Owing to its reputation, this place is always very chaotic and it seems as though a lot is going on at the same time. This greasy spoon option is not satisfactory and the food is nothing unique. You can find better options around in the neighbourhood.
There is nothing special about this place. The portions of the dishes are quite enough but the quality of the food is not very good. The service was also just okay , I do not think that I will be coming here again because there are a lot of places to try in this area.
