Eat 17 Hackney
Eat 17 Hackney
Description
Nestled in a vibrant locale, this establishment combines a unique retail experience with a café serving high-quality, albeit pricey, fare. While the ambiance captivates diners, reviews highlight a mix of culinary triumphs and disappointments—some dishes exceeded expectations while others fell flat, notably a cold halloumi wrap and inconsistent portion sizes. Desserts shine, yet were sourced externally. The diverse menu boasts gourmet items amid concerns of overpricing and mislabeling. Friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere contribute to the charm, making it a memorable spot for those willing to splurge on distinctive food, but caution around pricing is advised.

Feedback
Being followed around a restaurant is never a pleasant experience. It feels very intrusive and can make you feel uncomfortable. Despite feeling uneasy, I felt pressured to make a purchase because of the constant surveillance.
I ordered from Too Good To Go at this restaurant and found that the vegetables were past their expiration date. Some of them were close to rotting. I will not be shopping here again.
The restaurant is charming, but the prices are high. However, the bread is delicious. The customer service could use some improvement.
I don't know how they stay open in a cost of living crisis even with aiming their goods at middle class people. Really expensive even for shop aimed at middle class people even more so than co-op down the road.
