I ordered a halloumi salad which was just some salad leaves and really rubbery halloumi, eating it was like trying to get through plimsoles. My girlfiend ordered a mozarella sandwich which was equally decrepit; on picking it up it limply fell apart and revealed mozarrella cheese that was white and perfectly flat. I've never seen mozarella like this before, even the mozarella you get in Lidl is fleshy and milky this mozarella at Bread Butter was hard and rigid like a diving board. We didn't eat the sandwich and took it home and grilled the mozarella on the bread it tasted like plastic so we through it away. Stay away from this cafe! Save yourslef paying for over priced food and a painful interaction with highfalutin and vacant staff. The worst cafe i've been to in east!

It isn’t clear to me if they still do table service as you have to go up to the till for everything, meaning there’s a constant crowded queue there. They need to up their game and maybe have more staff available, or else they’ll risk losing regular customers.

They have seating outside on a sunny day. Highly recommended!
