Rebekah made my experience in Safeway so pleasant that I had to come, leave a good review. She usually works the ride up and go, and when she works, it is always a great experience. It is usually always on time and has all Star Customer Service communication. If there's any reason why she's ever running too late, she'll come out to let me know why. You can say she's just a really good person who takes care of others.... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Safeway Liquor:
Nothing is like the only grocery store in town and has no cold medicine at all in winter. The pharmacists are also rude and incompetent. I live in Guerneville and plan to do all my grocery stores in Santa Rosa because I don't like everything about this safeway experience. I wish this river town could do better. View all feedback.
Don't bother making lists, because they'll be out of a majority of what you're hoping to find. If you're paying with cash, plan to wait forever for the single cashier, because their self checkouts don't accept cash, and they're the only way to get out of the store efficiently. There's constantly dogs in the store despite it being against health codes. It's unfortunate that they're the only grocery store in the area, because they use it as an excuse to suck.
I recommend Safeway for her sandwiches. You have the best fresh sandwiches you can find in Guerneville. Your Italian combo is dying. They are a bit expensive, but fresh, plentiful and tasty.
We recently moved here from San Francisco and very happily surprised to see such a large, well stocked supermarket in such rural area. Prices are very reasonable, long hours for a small town. Staff is friendly. Have no idea where the reviews that are so critical are coming from- assume tourists expecting Whole Foods at Walmart prices? Wine prices and selection are great! Only wish would be a better selection of local organic produce. Better to hit the numerous farmers markets anyway. We are grateful for such a one stop shop!
Popped in for a quick shop of essentials- water, firewood, crab legs, scallops and oysters.... Like I said, essentials. Found everything we were looking for, as well as a few extra items we didn 't necessarily need (like chocolate and more wine). The cashier 's were curtious and everyone (staff and shoppers) was masked and respectful of maintaining personal boundaries. Came by after 5pm on a Thursday and it was definitely busy with after work shoppers. Queue moved quickly though and we were on our way without delay. Good spot for essentials in Guerneville area.
After 10pm they shut down the self check out even when the lines are long. They have shut down all 4 self check out station even though there was a line waiting to use then. Then they make those people get into the only open check line which is already long. And lastly there are plenty of employees that could open another check out lane but they don't.
