Contribute FeedbackThis restaurant in Guerneville offers a limited but fresh farm-to-table menu with a few vegan options, such as the vegan bowl. However, some dishes like the fish and burger were overcooked, and the fries were soggy. The atmosphere in the garden dining area is lovely, and the staff is friendly and efficient. The seating can be cramped, leading to awkward interactions with other patrons. The menu includes highlights like the fried chicken and the cioppino special, with a $20 corking fee for those who bring their own wine. The standout dishes include the flash-fried Brussels sprouts, burrata salad, and chili-braised pork with polenta. The lack of coffee service is a downside, but overall, the food and service are excellent despite the limited vegan options available. The prices are on the higher side, but the upscale yet relaxed atmosphere makes it a top dining choice in Guerneville.
You have one beyond burger that can be made vegan (without cheese or aioli). I have the vegan bowl and it was so rough - I'm not even a picky eater. It was this strange green broth with a random Medley of Veggies and Pinto beans - a supplement that I found especially strange. Also- Warning for a possible cross-contamination - the stew had a fishy aftertaste. I could just eat a few bites and felt too bad to return it. I work in a restaurant and I don't want to be super rude and send it back. It's too expensive for what it is. Their Brussels sprouts and beet salad (no cheese) are decent, but not so difficult to ground. The biggest lack of vegan options in Guernevillebetter go to safeway and cooking for yourself! After our hotel Concierge, this is the fantastic restaurant in the city. They had some vegan appetizers and entrees. We had the Brussels sprouts that were delicious. The vegan ducks were either a Beyond Meat Burger or a herbal tea green broth bowl with vegetables and beans. Since I can get an Beyond Meat Burger everywhere, I decided to try the broth. It was okay, but very simple and not the most exciting $19 duck I've ever had. I think I'd get more pleasure from the Beyond Meat Burger. Your alcohol is also expensive, with wine on the glass from about $15. Outside seats felt safe and waiters wore masks. I don't know that I would go back just because I think there are better options in the city and the price isn't great.
Sitting in the garden of Boon, drinking a glass of local wine and listening to the band next door was pure bliss. The best salad was fresh and delicious, like the Polnta Lasagne. The aromas were completely on point and the car tasted as if it had been picked 10 minutes before. Ideal for vegetarians, good for vegans. While they have a vegan bowl, my guess is that they like to accommodate where possible, veganize other options.
Great place to eat in downtown Guerneville. They have an event room for groups. Only complaint is the truffle fries is only sprinkled with truffle salt. I fell in love with the beet salad yrs ago, it’s the only item I ever get. I’m not into steaks etc, but the beet salad fresh from their garden is awesome. Just learned Crista is the chef at Boon and BROT, I didn’t know that before. She must be busy bopping from one to the other, busy lady. I’ve never eaten at BROT yet, maybe someday? No matter what, I’ll still get the beet salad at Boon Service: Take out
