Reviews - Panera Bread
Reviews summary
Panera's latest breakfast experience leaves much to be desired, with a limited menu and disappointing execution. Diners have reported bland sandwiches, poor service, and underwhelming portions, particularly for breakfast and soup. The infamous chicken sandwiches have also fallen short, described as overcooked and lacking essential toppings. However, some redeeming elements include tasty baked goods and occasional friendly service. While there are moments of satisfaction, particularly with certain menu items, the overall inconsistency raises concerns about whether this popular chain can deliver a reliable dining experience. For now, patrons might want to choose their visits carefully.

I usually go for the "You Pick Two" combo of a sandwich and soup. The Mediterranean veggie sandwich along with the ten-vegetable soup was excellent. While the staff did make a couple of errors with our order, they quickly fixed everything as soon as we pointed it out. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Panera Bread:
The staff here are incredibly kind and patient. That’s the sole positive. The back hallway near the restrooms is often stacked with boxes making it hard to get in the restroom let alone get out the back door if it was needed as a fire exit. The dealbreaker for me is the group of morning “regulars” who have been rude (and at times openly hostile) to customers. I sadly found out when checking with the staff it’s been o... Ordered a half chicken sandwich and a bowl of soup to go. The container they gave me was 4 inches by 2.5 inches. In what country is that considered a bowl worth of soup!?!?!? It was over $18! With a half sandwich, now a whole! At lease I know not to go backthere again which is sad because I work close by and would go all the time if it was reasonable.
My wife gets a craving for a Panera sandwich now and then. Tonight, I grabbed one for myself.I got the new Spicy Take chicken sandwich. Well... that's what I ordered. What I GOT was a dry, overcooked (sat under heat lamps for hours? chicken filet on abun slathered in some anonymous sauce... with NOTHING else on the bun. I removed the cold chicken to heat it up and took pics ofthe bun, as it was served to me. I did end up putting my own sauce and veggies on the sandwich, but nothing was saving that bitof chicken leather. I ended up feeding a chunk of the chicken to my dog. Nothing against the employees, and I sometimes enjoythe coffee and baked goods here. But... WOW. For a $10+ sandwich, throw a pickle on there, or something.
Extremely slow service. Where is the rest of the pickles they advertise for this sandwich? I got crumbs? 6 people working in back and 1 person up front who needs help taking orders. 40 bucks for all my food and my sandwich is basically cold. Irecommend not going here.
In the past I have sworn to never return to Panera, but thanks to my kids, here I am. I was pleasantly surprised. It seems that they might be adequately staffed, so there weren't long wait times and the quality was actually worth the price. All of thestaff was so friendly and the place was pretty clean.
This review focuses on my recent breakfast experience at this Panera Bread location. While I generally think Panera is good, I rarely leave a restaurant feeling unsatisfied and still hungry—but that’s exactly how I felt after breakfast here. I’m not a regular at Panera and have been there fewer than five times, but I’m confident their lunch and dinner are tasty, though a bit pricey. However, their breakfast menu needs reconsideration. When I arrived, I was pleased to see breakfast options, but the selection was limited—mainly a few sandwiches and lots of oatmeal. That’s fine if they do a few things well. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on brioche, which looked appetizing, along with a cookie and iced coffee. I struggled to find a good side to go with the sandwich, and the staff taking my order didn’t offer any suggestions. After wandering around trying to locate the iced coffee, another employee kindly helped me find it. The layout of this Panera felt oddly arranged and not very user-friendly, making me question my own observation skills. When I finally got my food, it looked decent at first, but the taste disappointed. The sandwich had one bland slice of bacon in the center, bland cheese, and an undercooked over-easy egg with raw whites. I enjoy over-easy eggs, but this one was clearly not properly cooked. The bread ended up being the best part of the sandwich. Maybe the restaurant was having an off morning, but I probably won’t be having breakfast here again anytime soon. On a positive note, the chocolate chip cookie was delicious, though the iced coffee was lacking. Overall, I’d rate this experience a 3 out of 5 because Panera is generally reliable.

The dealbreaker for me is the group of morning “regulars” who have been rude (and at times openly hostile) to customers. I sadly found out when checking with the staff it’s been ongoing for years and the store manager refuses to address it. I’d urge corporate to take a look at what’s going on here. Ordered the new asiago sandwiches online.. the chicken and the spicy steak. Get home and open up the wrappers. When you see them on TV they look fresh and neatly layered and 4 inches high. Not the case here. The chicken sandwich looked like it had been stepped on and layered with mayo.. they left the lettuce and tomato off,, was maybe an inch and a half high. Found a bone in the chicken. Spicy steak was not much better, they left the lettuce off altogether and it was compressed as well. Would not order again. And they ask for a tip for this?
