The food presentation and flavors were amazing, paired with expertly crafted drinks and live piano music on Fridays. Highly recommended! Don't miss the Lobster Bouillabaisse!
On a positive note, the atmosphere was lovely, combining a cozy yet classy vibe. Our server was friendly and did her best to explain the numerous specials available, but it was a lot to absorb at once. I really think it would help to have the specials printed out, as I found it hard to remember everything she mentioned. I understand the menu rotates, but updating printed menus daily shouldn’t be too much of a challenge, especially with the prices they charge. While I recognize this is an upscale establishment, some prices felt excessive. For example, we ordered the prawns pernod, which came with just five prawns for $28. They were tasty but not particularly remarkable. For my main course, I chose the Lobster Bouillabaisse. The presentation was appealing, and there was a good amount of seafood, making it a more reasonable price. My husband selected the special, a 12oz fillet, which also looked great but came without any sides—no vegetables or potatoes. He was a bit disappointed about that. My mom and her husband ordered the salad special and the pork chop, and they were satisfied with their meals, having no complaints. However, the service throughout our visit was sluggish, and we found ourselves with empty drinks multiple times, likely due to being understaffed and the influx of diners. Overall, I can't say I would be keen to return. I believe there are other dining options that offer a nicer experience and more variety.
Wow wow wow amazingly good meal. I was in Portland/Gresham for work and was reading the Yelp reviews and this definitely caught my eye. It was a little later in the evening and went without a reservation but luckily had a table outside. Decided not toorder an appetizer or salad but did order a loaf of bread. It was taking a little while until it came out and I realized thatthey baked it fresh-and oh my if the rest of the meal was this good I was in for a treat. I love it when they bring butter andlightly salt it.
