Dinner was a total delight. Relaxed service set at an attentive pace by server. The fixed price menu was creative and large portions. Well worth the price. The zucchini salad topped with cooked vegetables and greens was spectacular. Suggest going if in area for the dining food experience.
The dishes are very good, as said the service was bad was in very bad. There are to many things to mention I will just do one: we ordered a second bottle of wine, Red this time. It costs 100 euro ! . It Was dropped om the table with two new glases and that was it. As you can see it needed de decantation but nobody botheres to do so. Food was great but overall a disappoinent!
We booked our table more than a month in advance, and received a confirmation email from the hotel enotourism director. Upon our arrival (8:45pm reservation) we saw a large group on the outside terrace having a reception. The restaurant itself was deserted and clearly not set for dinner. We entered, and the several staff members greeted us with confusion, saying the restaurant was closed for the night. The Chef came out and told us that it was impossible that we have a reservation since they were closed. After showing him our confirmation email, he called the director of enotourism to speak with her, and then handed the phone to me. She first claimed it was impossible for us to have a booking, but then backtracked and said that since she had not been in the office that day, she wasn’t able to email me—that day—of our booking being cancelled. It was now 9:00pm. We asked for recommendations on where we might find an alternative booking at this late time. The first suggestion was a restaurant that I already knew to be closed on holiday, and the second was in a different village. I asked both the Chef and the Director to call ahead for us and confirm a table, and both refused—REFUSED—to do so. We drove to the other village/restaurant only to find that they weren’t even ever open for dinner. Absolutely horrible customer service from start to finish.
Me and Helena did walk from Grattalops to Buil Gine. We did eat a lunch which were one of the best ever, and we did drink their wine Pleret from 2013 which were the best wine in Priorat that we have tasted. So we are so grateful with food, environment, wine and service
