I visited hoping to find some delicious yeast rolls for Easter, but unfortunately, they were unavailable. They did have a variety of breads, cakes, and cookies, though. I did end up getting an Easter bread, which was quite tasty. It was a dense bread that seemed to have raisins in it. The girl at the counter was very friendly. I loved watching the breads being made in the kitchen; the aromas were delightful. There ar... View all feedback.

FANTASTIC bread! We stopped in to grab a fresh loaf, as our rental home’s 1980’s oven does not bake well (and we love homemade bread). The owner was so very kind, the pretzels were delicious, and we are loving the country loaf we purchased! We will be back to support this delicious small business!

I've been visiting this restaurant since it first opened, and it remains fantastic to this day! The owners are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The selection of breads, rolls, pretzels, and treats is outstanding. Everything I've tried here has tasted great and fresh. Plus, they freeze well, which is a bonus since I can't always finish everything I buy! Thank you, Petra!
It's an awesome bakery. Have been here twice, tomorrow will be 3x. Lots of German style breads plus other sweets like cakes and pies. I'm a bread freak, so I love the brotchen. Such a yummy super thin (like egg shells) hard crust and soft inside the roll. My favorite loaf is the Oma bread, tons of umami flavor in this one. The Gilroy garlic bread disappeared within two days...so heady and great for chicken, blt, or egg salad sammies, and divine for avo toast. My overall favorite sweet thing here so far is the train roll. No added sugar or fat, loaded with raisins is OMG YUM. The pies, cakes, cookies and bars look good. I have only tried the Hawaiian, tender coconutty you'll like it if you like blondies...I do.

I absolutely love the sourdough bread here! As someone who is gluten-sensitive, I've found that their recipe doesn't trigger any reactions for me, and it freezes wonderfully as well. This has become my go-to spot for sourdough in Grapevine. The selection of pastries and cakes is fantastic too. We've gifted their cakes to friends, and they've been met with great enthusiasm. The train rolls are simply perfect—almost addictive!
Best fresh bread in the Metroplex. But more than you think you need...because you'll love it. I usually get a roll or small treat for myself for the drive home, a reward for going to get the bread :
Being German, I’m typically disappointed by American pastries as they are so incredibly sweet that you can only have a few bites. I was so happy to find this German bakery which offers a variety of baked goods pastries, pies, cookies, bread just to mention a few. All of which are so flavorful but not overwhelming sweet. A must have is the pretzel. They only had one left by the time I got there, but next time, I’m getting there early so I can get a few more. Tip order your bread a few days in advance to ensure you get the loafs you want.
