If you comb through the high reviews you'll see lots of praise for service, price, and nostalgia. I'm only here to review the food. The cake donuts are dry and bready. The glazed donuts have a hint more moisture, but not enough to improve the flavor. The frosted donuts are inedible. This cozy little donut shop is truly charming. Be careful not to miss it, though; it's easy to overlook if you're not paying attention. The service is friendly, and the donuts are far superior to those from franchise chains.

I don 't even know where to start! I 've been inside this building with the family eating those TO DIE FOR LONG JOHNS with nuts on top and cream in the middle since my oldest sister Debbie (Sommers use to work there back in the mid '80 's! Love the Holt 's will push out free advertising every chance I get! FAMILY OWNED IS HOW IT 'S DONE, PERIOD! :
