Subway - Glen Eira

I wanted a quick takeaway lunch and despite the awful sickly sweet smell that comes out of all Subway outlets, went into my local one see what was available. The staff person was friendly and the filling options looked fresh but I have to say I couldn't stay in the shop as the stench was overwhelming. If it is coming from the "fresh baked frozen bread loaves" he highlighted then there must something volatile in the dough ingredients that simply can't be healthy. I walked out without buying lunch. I'd love to know why Subway have this smell, which seems also to come out of the air vent into the street, as well as inside. Other fast food places manage to serve similar quick options without such an awful smell.

I'm a massive fan of subway but every time I go to this subway the service is so slow. The food is great like every Subway but it's not fast food if you have to wait so long.

Ok, this is the last review of a fast food chain outlet, I swear! Unlike my nightmare rating of Macca's Oak Park, the reason you need to be aware of this

They are good and have nice staff. The place is clean and has been renovated. The only minor issue is that it’s been such a long time that their drinks dispenser has been out of order and you can only get bottled drinks. I drink Lift and they even don’t have that product in their fridge. So every time I go in I have to only get the food without a soft drink.
