Very disappointed. Ordered tom yum soup. Tasteless, not spicy and very boring. Mushrooms were raw. Very small portion considering I ordered a main. Quality of this place has gone downhill View all feedback.
What Letitia Torphy doesn't like about Phad Thai Food:
We're split on the one. Food was tasty, good portion size although was only warm in temperature. Often a sign of reheating. For me was ok...girlfriend wasn't so keen, so will try somewhere else next time we fancy Thai... View all feedback.
After 30 minutes wait to order. they did it wrong! I'll go home. veg spring rolls well. my 2 go to the meals every time I eat thai: mustamun curry and pad thai. the curry was the worst thing I ever had....Phad thai boring and simple. firm fit this place, especially because they were not cheap, and there are 2 other Thai sites 3 doors down.
I have dinner for two from the local Thai trip. genuinely terrible food; really annoying serve all of proteins in a dirty disgusting curry. early roll had a strange and unpleasant smell. a order of roti with satay has returned us something like $9 for one. piece cold stale roti and (essentially) a small container of heated crispy drip butter. very expensive for the size of the portion and eating is terrible. would not be surprised to find that everything comes from the microwave or something. I'll never be back.
The pad thai have frozen vegetables, the noodles, where hard. gone out of the way through the meal because it was so terrible
The restaurant is conveniently located near the elsternwick railway station and serves the normal extensive offer of Thai restaurants for cheap trips.
A group of four of us were looking for a bite to eat along Glenhuntly Rd and took a chance on Phad Thai. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was very very tasty, and oh so inexpensive. $75 for four of us, samosas to begin...with, then jasmine rice, chicken fried rice, stir fry ginger and beef, green curry, Calamari salad, and shared palm sugar cakes. All delicious, and plenty to share. No tea or coffee was a surprise, but there is a variety of cold drinks on offer. We stuck with water, and that was fine. It’s a smallish restaurant but with tables spread out well, there was no noisy hubbub. One waitress to serve everyone, and she did a stirling job, also serving takeaway customers. I am surprised to read the other reviews ours was a positive experience!
