Lucky Coq - Glen Eira
Lucky Coq
Description
Lucky Coq is a popular spot targeting a younger crowd with its budget-friendly menu featuring items like pizzas, burgers, and fried foods. While some find the food quality to match the low prices, others are not impressed. The cocktail list mainly consists of vodka variations, which may not meet everyone's expectations. However, the laid-back atmosphere and helpful staff make it a great spot for a casual hangout. The $4 pizza deal on certain days is a big draw, especially for vegetarians looking for affordable options. Although some find the staff pretentious and the service slow at times, many appreciate the chill vibe and delicious food at Lucky Coq. Overall, it's a quirky place to grab a cheap bite and enjoy some funky tunes.

As a Southsider I've tended to overlook Lucky Coq... not anymore! I am here to sing it's praises and voice some much needed approbation. I popped in here on a Wednesday night and was pleased by the convivial atmosphere. Music was at a moderate level, the staff were courteous, and the ambience was wonderfully cozy. I would highly recommend the dessert calzone, a comforting dessert at an unbeatable price of $5. Hot and oozing with Nutella it is the perfect level of indulgent. This is a superb place to be ensconced in during another long Chapel Street winter, pop by! Price per person: $1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
They have a really good range of vego pizzas which can all be made vegan with vegan cheese. Cheap when you go between the right hours and super tasty, would definitely recommend to anyone down this area, it’s great to nip in and get a cheap tasty lunch.
