Still just as great as I remember it. There aren't many Japanese restaurants I've been to that serve sushi and sashimi as fresh and perfect as Sozai. Very consistent and delicious plus lovely staff make this place an all-time favourite. View all feedback.

We have been going to Sozai since it opened (2-3 times each month) and have always enjoyed the menu and freshness of the food. We had a really bad experience there last night. The menu has changed, the service was terrible, the order in which the food was served was all wrong. The quality has dropped substantially, leading us to ask if there is a new owner? We will not be rushing back.
Just love Sozai for its' fresh sushi and sashimi. Their Gyoza and nasu-dengaku is deliciously consistent. Efficient polite service and it's always busy so it's wise to book ahead of time. We've since moved from Melbourne and miss our Japanese food fix but we'll be coming back. Hope it stays good while we're away but doesn't become too pricey.
