Description

Amici's menu is praised for its freshness and inventiveness, offering a variety of delicious options for breakfast, coffee, cakes, and meals. While a burnt bagel and bitter lemon tart were disappointing, the juices were fresh and refreshing. The spacious cafe may feel quiet at times, but the friendly service and bright atmosphere make it a pleasant experience overall. Visitors have enjoyed the scrambled eggs, vegetarian omelette, and hot chocolate, while others have raved about the flavorful sharing plates, live music, and delicious desserts. Despite a few hiccups, Amici seems to be a go-to spot in Prahran for a satisfying dining experience.

This restaurant is a fantastic alternative to the bars on Chapel Street, as it stays open late and has plenty of room. The service is friendly, the cake is delicious, the coffee is good, and the atmosphere is decent.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. I enjoyed the crispy salmon, salt and pepper calamari, and pasta - delicious! The service was warm and welcoming, and I have been here a few times now. The quality is always consistent, and I always leave happy.

I had a vegetarian omelette and I couldn't eat it all. Very delicious. Finally found somewhere that makes my latte very hot without giving me a lecture. Staff very attentive and friendly

Amici is a fairly large bakery cafe on Chapel Street. They serve cakes and other sweet treats as well as main meals. Food: We popped in for a cake and cold drink after shopping. The cakes are the kind that make you drool every time you walk past. They are all made using fresh ingredients, and you can tell, they look amazing. Our gingerbread was great, light with a nice crunch and good flavour, but unfortunately the lemon tart was disappointing and was far too bitter to finish even with two of us sharing it. We ordered two juices as well which were super fresh and refreshing. Atmosphere: As the cafe is quite large, it can feel a bit quiet very easily. We found it felt a bit deserted even though there were still quite a few people in there. It has a nice design though, good separate area for people ordered take away and bright artwork on the wall.Service: Service was friendly and it's nice to go somewhere for a snack and feel you are being treated equally to people ordering main meals and we were, nothing was too much trouble.Would I go back: If I was passing. It's a shame, on the face of it looks like a great place but the cakes just didn't live up to expectation.
