I made a reservation for the suckling pig online from overseas and called the restaurant to confirm its availability. Upon arriving in Australia and meeting with my family, we went to the restaurant for a family lunch. However, when we were seated by the wait staff, they claimed to have no record of our booking. The owner or manager was confrontational and uncooperative in his attitude and interaction with us. Instead of being apologetic and trying to understand what happened in order to improve, he was defensive and immediately blamed us. Due to his poor attitude, we decided to leave and cannot speak to the quality of the suckling pig they advertise. When someone has such a bad attitude, they should perhaps consider other career options.
We had an amazing experience at this Spanish restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. We visited with two friends and shared a variety of dishes. For starters, we enjoyed grilled eggplant with honey balsamic glaze and caramelised onions, spicy potatoes in tomato sauce, chicken croquettes, and Spanish cured ham croquettes. All of the starters were flavorful and delicious. The highlight of the meal was the Valenciana paella for 4, which was filled with rice, chicken, seafood (prawns, mussels, pipis, calamari), and was exceptionally tasty. We ended the night with churros coated in sugar and served with a rich hot chocolate. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the service was attentive, although it tapered off slightly as the restaurant became busier. The Flamenco dancers who performed around 8:30pm were a standout, showcasing incredible talent. This restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal and have a fun time with friends.
Had my husband's birthday dinner here last night and enjoyed every bit of it. The paella was even better than what we had in Barcelona. Excellent service from the floor team. The flamenco show was the cherry on the cake. Coming back with friends and family soon.
I had previously come here on a Friday night, and the place was pumping and vibrant and fun. Latest visit was on a Wednesday. The place was very quiet service was lukewarm. Food arrived pretty quickly, but felt perfunctory. Lamb skewers were very average. Not much chicken in the croquettes. Mussels were good though. I brought my mum, who is not from Sydney, and I felt bad I marketed the place to her given our experience.
Our second time at this restaurant and we couldn’t be happier. The food is delicious, and very true to food we have had in Seville in the past. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The decor and ambiance are quintessentially Andalusian. On Mondays all tapas dishes are half price (bargain) and on Friday and Saturday there are unmissable flamenco performances in the evening. We are so happy we found this little piece of Spain nestled in the middle of the Harbour City!
