What Lue Bailey dislikes about Astor Espresso:
While the service is excellent (and clearly they have a loyal following), the food is just bland and the produce is ordinary. I had the haloumi stack which was so overpowered by a cheap pesto, the eggs were flavourless, the avocado wasn't very fresh, and the haloumi itself was rubbery. Nice decor and efficient/personal service though. View all feedback.
Nice cafe situated near Glebe library on Glebe Point Road. I had a soy cappuccino and Poached eggs with wilted spinach and relish. The coffee, made from single origin, was really well made & the eggs poached to perfection. The staff were also really friendly too. Will definitely go back to try again!!
Great Coffee and superb bacon &eggs. Attentive and professional staff. Well above average!!! Good vibe. Sun streams in to soft relaxing room. In loving it!
We ordered the green scrambled eggs and corn fritters. The orders were taken by an attentive and efficient guy who confidently memorised what we wanted. Two gardens on a plate arrived. Green, red, yellow colours waiting to be eaten. Each mouthful was like a delicious punch in the face. We were two hungry souls hunting for breakfast on a harsh winter morning and our decision to take refuge in this cafe was handsomely rewarded.
I like the homely ambience, welcoming staff and good coffee here.<br/ The bus stop is just the infront of the cafe, 10min away from City.<br/ <br/ <br/ I had coffee and bread with Vegemite for brekkie. The coffee smelled very good and delicious.<br/ Love it. Bread was very yummy too! Defs come back again and will try other food too.
Love this local! Simple and delish. Decent servings and reasonably priced. The bread is amazing! My favourite Sonoma sourdough and I love the seeded rye.The only catch with this place is the limited seating so sometimes you have to wait. Also as much as I hate to admit it, the coffee is not to my liking so I generally have a coffee before breaky and then stick with water or order tea. (My palate is very particular apparently... The food keeps me going back though. Well poached eggs and tasty sides. Some good menu combos too he pesto haloumi stack is a winner!
