I can see why this place stays busy. But having a Michelin star is completely laughable. Starters were very good, the steak and veggies not too bad. But the paella is completely disgusting. I had better in Ibiza. It first started having to use my phone to translate everything. Which in my mind if you have a star you should have menus for a few languages, which that killed the vibe having to use google translate. The starters made it up but then the horrible paella absolutely ruined it. If you go DO NOT COME FOR PAELLA ! In all honesty this star should be taken from them. Completely misleading. Edit: you really should be more attentive, I only spoke English the entire time. I ask for it to come the way it does. Idk what happened in translation . But if half portion really screws up your plate then maybe you should rethink cooking. Also if your staff was more attentive they would have asked me in English if my order was correct. But regardless you don’t deserve to even be mentioned in a Michelin guide Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
What an experience!!. Never ate so well in spain in a long time. Was even better than some Michelin starred in the area. Everything was tasty and perfectly cooked. Thank you! Will come back next year without a doubt Price per person: €70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We'd booked Sinofos several months in advance as a special treat for my wife's birthday. They were open on a Sunday which was great, as many places in Girona are closed on a Sunday and Monday. When we arrived, the restaurant was very crowded and noisy and we were shown to our table. Twenty minutes later, someone came to take our order. We were informed that the tasting menu was not available at weekends without pre-booking. (Something that it would have useful to mention on our booking confirmation) We ordered a selection of small plates and a bottle of the house wine. Everything we had was very tasty, but the level of service and noisy atmosphere wasn't what we'd hoped.
What a simple good food. Quite different restaurant with young team. We had white asparagus with delicate butter sauce, grilled tuna belly . We did not recognize this special taste of tune belly at the first bite and then it was perfect. Main course was their paella with aborio rice for two and rosé local wine The waiter was very knowledgeable also about local cuisine and wine. We had a good time
