Sinofos - Girona

We had dinner at Sinofos two nights ago.There were only 40 persons in the restaurant for two waiters and it was a bit disorganized. Despite arriving first to the restaurant we did not get our food or drinks right away.It was a bit lengthy to place the order. This restaurant promotes itself as a steakhouse and when we arrive we were told the only steak they had was the 1 kg T-bone, if we were a family of five or six I would’ve said fine however it was only my wife and I. Even the family of five next to us turned down this 95 euro steak…They also stated that they didn’t have the fish on the menu, there were no vegetables available and the only dishes that they recommended were the rice dishes. So he said what the heck and ordered a €55 plate of rice with 12 tiny shrimp. Not exactly good value for the money paid.The starter was very simple Iberian ham and bread with tomato. The food quality was good overall but the selection was minimal. we simply don’t understand how a restaurant of this calibre can make the Michelin list.The locals we spoke to were also unimpressed by this restaurant.

This place is simply amazing. A must do! The meat is amazing and do not forget to take the sausage best thing i ever had!

Having crossed half of western Europe we found ourselves in Girona on a Sunday evening without a dinner plan...hence no reservation. TripAdvisor guided us to Sinofos and as many nights without plan...we ran into an absolute surprise. Excellent food superb service. No additional explanation required. Spend approximately €100 for 2 and can only complement the chef his staff. When feeling a little adventurous, ask the staff to select matching wines to your selection of different dishes... Enjoy!

I recommend 100, very good food and very good presentation. the perfect atmosphere. to 10. an experience to repeat.

Since you get in, you start enjoying, the reception can't be better, we let ourselves be advised and it was a success. There was a slight delay in the beginning of the command delay that they don't know about elsewhere but besides coming to explain why I repeat, without telling them anything they got us with oysters to the very rich grill. the wine that advised us the boy, who described it with a lot of passion and convinced us, loved us. Anyway, 100 recommended. We'll be back!
