Great location and amazing views! Great dinner ! Some things we did not like : Bunk beds are very close to one another, and you cannot sit up straight on them. Service is correct but not friendly and warm, the first info we got when we arrived was : “these are the rules…”. Access to the restaurant is limited, which is not a problem when the weather is good but annoying when it’s chilly and cold. No meat left for breakfast.
The rifugio is situated on a wonderfull spot with a view on the Matterhorn. The food is good. Our room was tidy and had it's own bathroom. The owners were very helpfull. A nice place to be.
If you are looking for a traditional easy going mountain hut, refuge Chaligne is not for you. It is a beautiful elegant stylish mountain hut where you can sleep in Starsbox for a unique (and pricey) experience. (wooden tiny houses with a removable roof). Very good food.
Gorgeous place The staff and owners are kind and professional The food is excellent: a homemade cake to die for Recommendation: go there
A very beautiful and well-equipped refuge. We didn't use the rooms, but I'm giving it five stars for the beautiful outdoor dining areas. Lunch was delicious, with a choice of platters and plain or concia polenta accompanied by stews, vegetables, or simply au gratin. There's a small alpaca farm on site, with three friendly and sociable alpacas, all of which are provided for a fee of grass. Easily accessible.
