What GailD doesn't like about Goodfolks:
We've been here several times. The food has always been good in the past. Maybe something has changed. The pasta dish in particular, was disappointing. The shrimp smelled and tasted and a bit off. The pasta was crunchy and the sauce was very runny. The brussels sprouts are always a favorite, but were not cooked like they usually are. Maybe they were having a bad day in the kitchen. Normally, we love to go here, but w... View all feedback.
Food and service was very good, but it seemed a long time before we got our food order. Server was friendly and nice. Drinks received quickly but after ordering our meals to seem much longer than I expected. I had the 2 piece chicken with biscuit and potato salad. All came in a small basket much to small for all that was in it. Everything I had tasted good, My bone in chicken was fried really dark brown, guess they cooked it longer to make sure it was cooked well to the bone. I will try the chicken stripes next time since others at table had strips and they were less brown.
This place is SO cute. The food is yummy and made from great ingredients. Our server Nicolette was so nice and did a great job! We will definitely come back.
Super great place !! love the food (especially fries). the service is always so good !
This (3.2/24) was our first time there. Star rating led us to be excited about the food and trying a new place. Hostess was very friendly. We ordered 2 fired chicken dinners (1 mashed potatoes missing) and 1 fried chicken salad. Wait for take-out was long. When we arrived home and opened the food, we were very disappointed. The fried chicken was almost burnt, dry and over cooked for all three meals. My salad was on the bottom and so the hot chicken boxes on the top caused the salad to wilt. Biscuits were hard, The 3 desserts, bread pudding and key lime pie were delicious. Perhaps if we had dined in, I experience would have been better.J. ParkerParking: Downtown was busy on Saturday and so parking was somewhat difficult.
Neat little restaurant on the Georgetown Square. Took my daughter here for a Sunday brunch. I had been wanting to try it for awhile and it did not disappoint. Ihad the chicken and biscuit which is covered in honey and it was great. My daughter had a Buffalo chicken gnocchi which she was also very fond of. The prices were good and the service was attentive. We will certainly be back in the future.
