I have ate here for several years, they have had a hard time due to ARSON fire, but still have the BEST BBQ anywhere. Somewhat limited menu until repairs are made but absolutely still worth visiting, great service, friendly, and still a positive attitude despite circumstances. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and the baked beans are the best. Service: Dine in
We planned to stop here for lunch during a family trip, but we were immediately put off by the huge and aggressive political signs covering the outside of the restaurant. We ended up driving down the road and opting for Wendy's instead. Atmosphere: 1.
Despite the strong political messages, the food at this restaurant was just mediocre. I know they're not offering their full menu right now, but I sampled the ribs, brisket, and a few sides. The sides were unremarkable; the green beans and coleslaw lacked flavor, but the potatoes stood out as quite enjoyable. The ribs were quite good—falling off the bone and generously sauced. They're cooked slowly, which affects their texture, but the taste was excellent. Unfortunately, the brisket was disappointing—bland and watery. On a positive note, the owner/hostess was very friendly.
