Haven't tried much of their food yet but so far it was great. Reasonably priced. I have yet to go during happy hour (I think they have it.) Service was great. One time a fly accidentally flew in my coffee while it was on the table and I asked to exchange it for that reason. The staff totally understood. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Troquet:
The food is very good and the selection is limited. All I could have was a salad and chicken and of course a beer. As always in Gatineau the staff was excellent. View all feedback.
We came across this restaurant bar while we were on the opposite foot. When we came in, no one came to us to offer the menu, so we decided to sit and wait. we saw 2 bartenders with drinks with people sitting in the bar. I tried to get the attention of the waitress, but she looked at me and ignored us. the restaurant was almost empty and there were only a few in another table. we just waited after 15 minutes.
We came over this little restaurant while we walk in the opposite. very pleasant personal and decent basic food at reasonable cost.
We were looking at the Villans Garcon(closed for good) and one other place on the same street we were looking for a sunday style brunch so we walked bact to Troquet et il y a une placard avec deux specieux, Croque Monsieur Pimper et quelles...que choses d'autre. Le Crocque monsieur Pimper was excellent, with bacon, eggs, a cheese sauce on a toasted bagel excellent
The staff, the food, the ambiance, the big variety of beer, I love everything about this place. Sometime (and quite often there are shows, conferences, art exhibition, slam night, etc.
My wife, son and I visited Gatineau after a tour of the Ottawa river. We followed the red line from the tourist office to Gatineau village which is beautifully quaint. We chose Le Troquet for a quick bite of lunch. My son and I had...sandwiches while my wife had the “troque monsieur”. It was a lovely setting and we had a window seat and could watch the comings and goings. A very nice spot for lunch.
