We has a special dish for 4.A 40 oz Tomahawk Rib Steak (carved). Six lobster tails, all the fries and mushrooms you could eat. Assorted Vegetables and rice. Together with many dipping sauces. All for $130! Lovely hot rolls to begin with. Our courteous bilingual waiter Ricardo was amazing. There is nothing on the Ottawa side with this kind of quality and value. Oh yeah, you can bring your own wine and beer. Worth the s... View all feedback.

Lunch - cute net ($27), quality? To accompany my steak, I asked for mushrooms...on the shock when I was given my bill... $5.00 for mushrooms, thinking it was to be understood that I refused their mushroom sauce that is too salty. I should have gone with the fish
Just to start off, we've been to other steak frites restaurants in Montréal and Tremblant in the past so we knew what to expect. The food was good (not exceptional), the service was spot on and the pricing was anticipated. The restaurant was clean with ods of parking. The only downside if you want to call it that was the setting. There was no "ambiance". Maybe it was the weather but it felt cold. (Not the temperature) This went with the food as well. It was good. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The sauces were so-so. Perhaps that was the key. Food and setting lacked pizazz, zing or wow factor. 6/10
We visited Steak Frites St-Paul on Saturday March 18,2017. The four of us selected the small steak at $17.00; one of them was very small - much smaller than the other 3: equivalent to six bites (and not gig ones!). Well, for the price and compared to the others, that was on the skinny side ! That was disappointment! We visited a similar restaurant (Steak Frites in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec) 2 years ago and the serving size at that time were more generous and in line with expectations, plus a small salad was included! The "Table d'Hôte" option at $10.00 including an appetizer and a dessert was a good option, although seldom do we see Table d'Hôte that do not include tea or coffee. But that is the case at Steak Frites St-Paul. From my perspective, Steak Frites leans on the short side not on the generous one!
Home impolite and rude. We almost left. I think he would have been happy because, obviously, it was annoying him to have customers without reservations. When he had a table for us, we finally got a smile.Paul, our server, made the whole difference. friendly, polite, smiling, listening and effective. He was the only positive point in the evening. We get the famous fries very quickly. They are warm and fades! I signal it, and I'm told of the hot and golden, much better. The chateaubriand is tristounet. meat is good and cooked as requested, but warm. and above all, the dish is not served on a reef. So while we eat our first piece, everything cools quietly on the table. When you get tight, it's almost cold and it ruins all the fun. The desserts were okay. ironically, almost too cold... so probably decelerated recently...Break, we won't go back. It was just not worth the $115 it cost us, and we didn't even take any entries.
